They came for our milk, they came for our eggs

It is hard to not become a conspiracy theorist when the powers that be insist on creating more regulations concerning our food.

Today it is eggs, those evil little nuggets of salmonella!

With so many cases of Salmonella coming from eggs these days, the only course of action for authorites is to clamp down on the practise of unregistered egg producers selling their dangerous unregistered products in Op Shops and hardware stores across the country!

From November 26th, all small egg producers will require a $4000 egg stamping machine and accreditation for their flock.

Seriously, big gov, why don't you also insist we carry a miner's license on us at all times, and shoot us up in our barricades, then try us for high-treason when we inevitably rebel? Or would that be a historical cliche?

So if barricades and stockades are not your style, well there is always the online petition.

Do you hear the people sign, signing petitions for our food,
It is really rather futile, and won't stop us being sued
But it makes us feel we still, have a shred of democracy
let us sip the Chardonnay of Decency

Will you pass on the petition, to all your facebook friends
Some will sign it, some will read it, some will junk it in the end
The outrage of foodies will be heard in the Cafes somewhere.

You can vote for wikileakes, you can also vote for Greens
You might get one in the parliament, or on the media sometimes seen.
You might think there is a chance that the world might see some sense
Till then sip the chardonnay of pretense.

Do you hear the people sign, signing petitions for our food,
It is really rather futile, and won't stop us being sued
But it makes us feel we still, have a shred of democracy
let us sip the Chardonnay of Decency

Compulsory egg stamping is being introduced in Tasmania later this month, while in Victoria, the requirement will be introduced next year:
